Napa Valley Grapes
Fruit of the vine,
ready for the picking,
will it make a fine wine
ever before it’s time?
Who is to say
where these grapes will play,
in the oak, the bottle, the flute, the goblet
on your lips…
alas…into the abyss.
Thoughts…

Tomatoes On The Vine
Some green, some red, some ripe, some not
is it really a fruit, I think not
reminders of the garden I keep dreaming
the homestead we are working
little by little, a new plot added here
a larger compost bin made there
every growing season offers new possibilities
springtime is on my mind
What thoughts or images come to you?
