Here is a quick story. I do my grocery shopping at four different outlets. I use our local farmer’s for the majority of our purchases (we are vegetarian), I use two national outlets for our other needs, and then we use a specialty store for some organic purchases that we make.

I use ground chuck because, to my taste, it’s moist enough to serve on a toasted bun without additional sauces. However, I recommend serving mayo or remoulade on the side in case your guests like it extra juicy.

The Scottish Empire Biscuits traditionally have maraschino cherries on top (either halved or quartered, and usually made a bit bigger), however, I didn’t have any maraschino cherries, and quite frankly, I don’t like it too much, as the cherry liquid, even after drying them, always gets into the icing.
