I did find a good recipe for Jell-O shots and proceeded to make several batches of these over the next few days. Monique made her key lime pie and a batch of rice crispy treats too. I will post recipes of the pie and Jell-O shots too.

Additionally, when my parents came to visit us in October (10/2009) my father Joe Boudreaux mentioned that he had worked for Mr. Stansel on his rice farm during his high school days. Gueydan is only a few miles from Morse, Louisiana, where my father grew up on their farm, they grew rice and soybeans also.

If you cannot find or do not want to pay for the pricey Boursin Cheese, you can make a great substitute version of your own with simply combining cream cheese with minced garlic, chopped chives and fresh herbs such as parsley, thyme and basil, and a little garlic salt and pepper.
