Another crock pot slow cooker recipe is so easy it takes little time to set up, and about 7 hours later it is done.
Ingredients | ||
1 | Lb. | Black eyed peas, cleaned and soaked overnight |
2 | Cups | Onions, chopped |
3 | Ribs | Celery, chopped |
1 | Cup | Carrots, cubed |
2 | Tbsp | Garlic, minced |
4 | Cups | Vegetable stock |
1 | Tbsp | Italian seasoning |
Procedure Steps | |
1. | Drain the beans from the soaking water, then combine all the ingredients into the slow cooker, cover, and bring to the highest heat until bubbles form at the top and starts to simmer. |
2. | Stir the ingredients around once, and then the heat setting to medium-low and slow cook for 7 hours or until the beans are tender. |
