Great Northern Beans

This is so easy that a recipe really is not necessary, but thought I would punch one out anyway. So, here is the simple yet tasty crock pot, slow cooker recipe, and it meets the requirements for Eat To Live dietary guidelines.

Ingredients
2 Lbs. Great Northern Beans, rinsed, and soaked overnight
2 Cups Onions, diced
4 Rib Celery, diced
2 Tbsp Garlic, minced
1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
½ Tbsp Hot sauce
4 Cups Vegetable stock

Procedure: Drain the soaking water from the beans. Put all ingredients into your slow cooker crock pot, stir well, and then turn the heat to the highest setting and bring to a simmer. Then turn the heat to low and allow to slow cook for six to eight hours. Adding more vegetable stock if needed.

This recipe was prepared on Eat To Live, Week 2, Day 5, and linked from Eat To Live, Week2 Recap of our ETL diet and lifestyle, you can follow our complete progress at Eat To Live.
