Savor the nut, or is it a seed I mean,
favored by baseball, toasted by chef, salted, roasted,
eaten by many!
Fields of rising flowers, pushing through the ground,
searching for the rays of eternal light, power, life.
Sky above, clear, blue, warmth,
landscape alive with nourishing pods, touching air,
bursting with flavor,
take care!
Helianthus annuus, they call me!
Our Heliotropism is just a condition for which there is no cure,
we follow the sun all day long, from east in the morning to west in the evening,
every day …turning to sol.
Native to the Central Americas,
domesticated in Mesoamerica by 2600 BC,
Aztecs, Incas, Pizzaro’s, and Peruvians.
Spain found me in the 16th century, and by the 18th Europe knew too!
Floret seed pattern in mathematical model form is expressed in polar coordinates where θ is the angle, r is the radius or distance from the center, and n is the index number of the floret and c is a constant scaling factor.
Can I just have me some sunflower seeds please?
Bon appetite!

That’s such a beautiful picture. I always love sunflowers. They somehow make me smile. I love sunflower seeds, too….very addictive. Thanks very much for sharing this beautiful picture.

I love to grow sunflowers to tie the dried heads to trees for the birds.
