On January 22, 2011 I received a package from Foodbuzz to promote the Alexia products as part of the Tastemaker program. The package included a coupon for one free bag of their frozen vegetable product, along with a nice apron and a well drafted letter.
With my Alexia coupon gently nestled into the “Freezer” section of my coupon binder we made several attempts to find any Alexia products in our local grocer freezer sections, we tried Harris Teeter, Lowe’s, Kroger, and Wal-Mart, to no avail. About a month after getting the coupon, we finally stumbled upon some Alexia frozen products at our local Super Target. I selected the “Spicy Sweet Potato” Julienne Fries with Chipotle Seasoning”.
Several days later we baked them in the oven per the package directions and served them as a side to our hot dogs. These are some really good tasting sweet potato fries; the seasoning is just right, not too spicy, and not bland like you find some sweet potato fries on the market today. I would recommend these to anyone who likes to buy frozen sweet potato fries.
Thank you Foodbuzz and Alexia for the coupon and the apron!
Bon appétit!

funny thing happened on the way to the market……… I have taken that dad-blasted coupon on three trips to the store and gotten home with Alexia products, yet to use the coupon….. all I can say is – yup, I like the swt potato fries too, the onion rings aren’t too bad and neither are the oven reds……….

Oh my gosh, my youngest son loves Alexia potatoes. His favorite are the reds with rosemary. Tastemaker program is awesome!

I wonder if this is the brand I see at Costco…which I’ve been dying to pick up and try. Thanks for the review, they look and sound yummy. And thanks to you I’m now craving a hot dog! 🙂

I’ve only had sweet potato fries once in my life, and they weren’t the best. I was turned off to those type of fries. I guess I will attempt to try these fries since they look delicious, and I will not let one bad set of fries leave me with a bad taste in my mouth. I will look for these fries next time I am in a Super target…

These fries sound good. Target is set to open up shops in Canada in the not too distant future and I’m looking forward to it. Last time I crossed the border and went to Grand Forks (3 years ago) I liked their product selection because I was able to buy made in the USA products. I hope they are still as good and will carry this brand. Or maybe it’s time for a two hour drive south complete with cooler for bringing frozen products back with me. Thanks for sharing this CCR.
