Absolutely! There are so many variations to fried rice, that it is endless :)

Most of the time, I just call it left over fried rice. That's when I in throw anything from the fridge. lol!

I miss the chinese restaurants, one in particular that we used to eat in when I was growing up on Long Island. Now I'm in Chicago and oddly enough can't get good Chinese food! Go Figure. Thanks for the recipe and the optional substitutions. Armed with that I might actually like my fried rice for a change...Imagine that!

Fried Rice is the first thing I learned how to make when I was 9 yrs old! Ironically, I don't eat a lot of rice, but when it's stir fried with all the delicious ingredients and flavors, I just can't stop eating it!

Thanks for including the lists at the end... I don't know about anyone else, but I geek out over mixing and matching items from lists. You never know how many possibilities there are until you see them organized like that. Great idea!

Thanks...I LOVE fried rice but some reason mine never tastes like what you get at restaurants so I stopped trying. Your post makes me want to try again...maybe it's the type of rice I'm using. LOVELY!
